Taylor + Brandon {Engagement} Yorktown, Virginia

I wrapped up my fall wedding and engagement season with Taylor and Brandon’s engagement session on a gorgeous fall day in Yorktown, Virginia. These two were so much fun to work with. When I get to work with couples like them, it reminds me why I love doing this so much. They are super laid back and I felt like I’d known them for years. To top things off, they brought their sweet pit bull Kilo along for a few shots! I’m really looking forward to their wedding at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth next October. It was hard to narrow down favorites because I had so many. I hope you enjoy them!

Karyn + Cole {Wedding} Portsmouth, Virginia

I love couples that love to laugh together, and Karyn and Cole definitely fall into that category! Without a doubt, my favorites images from their engagement session and wedding day are the ones where they are laughing. Theirs was my last wedding of 2017. There were so many people there to celebrate with them and everyone had a great time! They got married at the beautiful St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth, Virginia. It was a gorgeous fall day! Karyn and Cole, thank you so much for trusting me to photograph your wedding day! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites!

Rebecca + Ash {Wedding} The Mariner’s Museum

Rebecca and Ash are both in the Coast Guard, so the Mariner’s Museum was a natural choice for their wedding venue. Their details also included lots of nautical elements. Both their ceremony and reception were held in the lovely South Courtyard at the museum. The weather could not have been more beautiful for an entirely outdoor event. A definite highlight of the reception was the full blown taco bar by Catering Concepts! Overall it was a day filled with an abundance of laughter. Thank you Rebecca and Ash for choosing me to document your special day!

Thank you! It was!

Carolyn + Will {Engagement} Charlottesville, Virginia

I met up with Carolyn and Will in Charlottesville on a gorgeous (and unusually warm) fall afternoon. Carolyn currently lives and works in Charlottesville while Will is in Hampton Roads, but they still spend almost every weekend together. Since quite a bit of their time together is spent in Charlottesville, they wanted to have their engagement session there. The park they chose had beautiful trails and scenery. It was one of those sessions where I allowed myself to stretch from my normal style a bit. I believe it’s good to always be eager to learn and try new things creatively. Carolyn and Will are getting married at St. Andrews Episcopal Church with a reception at the Harbor Club in Norfolk next June and I couldn’t be more excited! I hope you enjoy my favorites from their session! View full post »
