I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! Soyphet (Soy for short) and I met through a mutual friend (Hi Anna!) and we were both in her wedding last October. Soy and her bf Tony were very recently engaged and I was so excited when she contacted me about her wedding photography! Soy has great taste and is super detail oriented, so I just knew her wedding was going to be beautiful. She has GOT to be the most organized bride I’ve ever had! This girl had a 20 page timeline packet! Y’all, it had a table of contents! Groups of people involved in the wedding had their OWN timeline included in the packet so that they could see only the things relevant to them. Most people just don’t have that kind of motivation! I love working with brides who are into the details :) One awesome thing about their wedding was that although Tony decided very early on that he did NOT want to do a First Look, he had a change of heart. He contacted me a few months ago and let me know that he did want to do one, but that he wanted it to be a surprise for Soy. AAHHH!! So exciting! So in the midst of planning, I was organizing a second timeline that included a First Look and pictures before the ceremony. Their ceremony was scheduled for 6:00 and sunset was at 6:30, so getting the pictures done beforehand was a big deal! I’ll warn you, this is a long post because there were so many beautiful moments and details! Enjoy my favorites!
I LOVED the beautiful florals by Kelly Gish Floral Designs!
Soy had such thoughtful gifts for everyone!
Surprise First Look! Soy was SHOCKED to see Tony waiting for her and needless to say, it was a bit emotional!
The weekend of their wedding (and the whole week before!) was VERY rainy. Thankfully, the lobby of the hotel ended up being a great spot for portraits!
Such a gorgeous bride!
Things don’t always go perfectly when little ones are involved, but I think it’s a fun part of the day to document!
Soy designed her own invitations, save the dates, and programs! I’m so impressed!
A few more pictures of the lovely ladies!
Soy and Tony wrote each other letters to read before the ceremony. They both said that the other’s letter was almost exactly the same as the one they wrote themselves.
The flowers girls were SO CUTE!
It wasn’t raining after the ceremony, so we headed over to the beach for a few more portraits!
Because of the clouds and the time of day, it was ALMOST too dark for pictures, but I love the softness of these beach images!
It makes my heart happy when my pictures are incorporated into the wedding! The one of the label is from their engagement session!
Just one of the many reasons why I love having a second shooter!
Such a cool angle caught by my second shooter again!
